Test shoot

We set of trying to find a couple of actors to help us out with the test shoot but we could only find one so i had to act as well. We found a location that was suitable for the test shoot, but we probably wont use it for the actual Shoot because of the size being too small.  We managed to get a variety of shots in the test shoot, from establishing shots to action shots to close ups, by looking at the edited test shoot it should help us on the day of the actual shoot to identify which shots are good and bad. I acted Ben was camera man and Grace and Ksenia helped out Ben with the shots. I felt like i was a rubbish actor.

Explain Genre and why it is important (to audiences and institutuions)

If two films have the same genre it means that they are similar in some aspects for example, The BenchWarmers and Dodgeball both have the Sports comedy genre and are both pretty similar. They are both based around a sports team with truly comical moments in the films. The importance of genre is so that the audience know what type of film they are going to see, for example a 8 year old boy isn't going to want to watch a romantic film in the cinema intentionally if they know what genre they are going to watch. They are more likely going to watch an action movie.
